DV8 make custom editions of cars, trucks and vans. We worked together to build a visual aesthetic that felt unique to the business. The company were keen to move away from the industrial setting these vehicles are often associated with and work towards showing them as "day-to-day" cars, presenting DV8 as a lifestyle brand. I worked on developing a style of photography which wasn't like other car shoots. We put a complete ban on very low angles and the wide lenses that are often used in this kind of photography. Instead we focused on a reportage style - being a fly on the wall capturing the cars in cities, villages and rural settings. After building a set of visual brand outlines for DV8 I've continued to work with them to develop shoots for their new designs.
